March 1918. A young officer joins C-Company and their war-weary Captain Stanhope as they take their turn in the front-line trenches in northern France. Told that a German offensive is imminent, the officers and their cook distract themselves with talk of food and their past lives as the days tick by, the tension rises, and the impending attack draws ever closer.
