Worlds collide in the loud, laser-lit trailer for the return of Tron.
Powered by the thumping distortion of its Nine Inch Nails soundtrack, the trailer sees the sci-fi franchise make a triumphant return after a decade and a half off grid. Tron: Legacy captured lightning in a bottle with rich neon-soaked visuals and Daft Punk-powered sound, a new chapter is now set to turn up the volume as the virtual world enters reality for the very first time. The short and sweet trailer is a visual-audio feast as neon red Light Cycles speed down real roads, Light Fighters intercept missiles in mid-air, and programs prepare for an epic battle between worlds. It also brings a first look at Greta Lee, Gillian Anderson, Evan Peters, and the return of Jeff Bridges’ Kevin Flynn – in voice only for now – before unveiling Jared Leto’s Ares, who’s sent from the grid into the real world on a dangerous mission. Worlds will collide in cinemas October 10.
