He's best known to most as Freddie Mercury, but fans of Mr Robot won’t be at all surprised to see Academy Award-winner Rami Malek relishing in a role as a nerdy tech expert. In a role that sits somewhere between that and his villain from No Time To Die, he stars as Charlie Heller, a CIA specialist whose entire life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a London terror attack. With the CIA refusing to help, he decides this is something he must do himself. His colleagues, supervisors, and trainers have clearly underestimated the power of his grief, lust for revenge, and will to execute his mission. He may not be a killer in a traditional sense, but he’s got a certain set of skills in the form of his tech expertise that will ensure he exacts his revenge. The Amateur comes to cinemas April 11.
