Be thankful that Thanksgiving isn’t something we do on this side of the pond as Eli Roth’s holiday horror promises this year’s celebration is going to be killer. The trailer takes us to Plymouth, Masschusetts, the town where the Thanksgiving holiday was created. After a Black Friday riot turns deadly, a serial killer dressed as a Pilgrim plots bloody revenge. Turning the fake trailer for the fake film he created as part of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’ Grindhouse into a full, very real feature, Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving is a classic slasher that follows the townsfolk as they try to survivor the terror. It’s also a real throwback to the films that launched Roth’s career, Cabin Fever and Hostel, complete with creative killings, a scream queen in the form of Addison Rae, and plenty of gore. There’s plenty of scares on offer with this seasonal slasher, but don’t expect any leftovers this Thanksgiving, in cinemas November 17.
