Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s the stunning first trailer for James Gunn’s Superman.
DC is ready to take flight in an exciting new direction with James Gunn at the helm and the very first look at the first film in his grand project is here. Riffing on his signature style from his big screen superhero spectacles that are almost universally adored, the trailer is a real treat with an electric guitar cover of John William’s iconic theme introducing David Corenswet in the dual leading role as Clark Kent / Superman. There’s also a look at Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner among other DC heroes and villains and those in-between who Gunn has assembled for his take on a classic comicbook tale – including the adorable Krypto. There’s sure to be epic action and real laughs, but also real emotion so it’s not only the sound barrier breaking, but hearts, too when audiences are awestruck by this Superman story in cinemas July 11.
