Voicing Shadow, Keanu Reeves joins the cracking cast alongside the brilliant Ben Schwartz, back as Sonic, with Idris Elba’s gruff Knuckles and Colleen O’Shaughnessey’s long-time Tails returning, too. The underrated James Marsden makes a welcome return to the live-action cast as Sonic’s father figure Tom, but all the scenes are again sure to be stolen by Jim Carrey’s maniacal Dr Robotnik, who’s having a go at being good in a twist almost as mad as he is!

As action-packed and authentic as its predecessors, this thrilling trilogy-completer draws on the Sonic The Hedgehog animated series from 1993 and the 2005 video game Shadow The Hedgehog, so it’s destined to delight fans of the bright blue speedster, no matter where you started your Sonic journey.

Sure, Vin Diesel's antihero is now pretty much a superhero, but he doesn't stand a chanc against Sonic without his charger. Over a quarter mile, Sonic gets the "W", no matter much NOS or "family" you have in your rear-view.

Quicksilver

We've bid a fond farewell to Fox's Marvel universe now thanks for Deadpool & Wolverine, but we did get a glorious glimpse at the lightning-fast mutant in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. What if he raced Sonic? We'll call it a draw.
