Hawaii isn’t ready for what’s about to hit it. An alien experiment on the run crashlands onto the island causing chaos for two sisters in the trailer for Disney’s latest live-action retelling of a beloved animated classic. We’re introduced to Stitch, somehow even cuter and cuddlier in live-action, as well as Maia Kealoha and Sydney Agudong as Lilo and Nani, the orphaned sisters at the heart of the story who wind up being accidental owners to the strangest pet dog the universe has ever seen. Getting used to a new life with a strong-minded, mischievous creature is anything but plain surfing, especially as Stitch is on the run from undercover aliens looking to bring him home. But, remember, "Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind," so they set out to keep him safe from his would-be captors. The trailer also gives us a first-listen to Hannah Waddingham as the voice of Ground Councilwoman and a sneak peek at our live-action alien hunters: Courtney B. Vance’s Cobra Bubbles, Zach Galifianakis’ Jumba, and Billy Magnussen’s Pleakley. Brace for impact, in cinemas May 23.
