Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire Trailer

Picking up several years in the aftermath of the epic battle between the two apex kaiju – where they eventually set aside their differences to defeat Mechagodzilla – in Godzilla Vs. Kong, the monster trailer takes us deeper into the Hollow Earth to reveal the history of how these creatures came to be. As the trailer tells, the Titans such as Godzilla were guardians of nature, while the great apes protected humanity, but that harmony is now interrupted by something that stirs below the surface. A signal sends Kong, Godzilla, and human researchers to investigate. Back in the Hollow Earth, they encounter a fearsome Kong-like Orangutan known as Scar King is an almighty ancient beast with one agenda: to wipe out humanity and rule as leader of both the surface world and the Hollow Earth below it. A gargantuan beast that's even taller than Kong not only weilding a weapon, but also has a powerful Titan companion of his own. Kong needs assistance from an old ally. In facing their greatest threat yet, the two Titans return sporting some upgrades as Kong now wields a mechanical arm and Godzilla is now equipped with glowing pink spikes. Scar King isn’t the only new ape making an appearance in the trailer as it also brings a very first look at Baby Kong, a small, young infant ape. After the colossal crossover, the epic new film goes one further with a titanic team and biggest film in the MonsterVerse so far. Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire lands in cinemas March 29.
