Chaos Walking Trailer
Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley tackle a totally different dystopian future together in the first trailer for the much-delayed Chaos Walking
Following years of delays, reshoots, and changes due to coronavirus, the first trailer for Chaos Walking is finally here to launch us into a remarkable new world. Set in the not too distant future, the trailer sees Daisy Ridley’s Viola crash land onto a curious planet where she encounters Tom Holland’s Todd and discovers that this world is one without women and everyone can see and hear each other’s every thought. The “Noise” is the result of the same deadly pathogen that apparently wiped out all of the women and now sees every remaining man’s stream of consciousness come to life in a swirl of colour and sound. Not only is Viola the only living female, she’s also the only one without a Noise which puts her safety at risk. With Viola’s life under threat, the pair set out to survive together and uncover the secrets of this dystopian world. But it seems the mayor of Todd’s tribe, played by a most menacing Mads Mikkelsen, is harbouring the darkest secret of all, one that puts both Todd and Viola’s in danger. Doug Liman, the director of The Bourne Identity and Edge Of Tomorrow, brings the first book in Patrick Ness’ bestselling young adult novel trilogy to life with two of cinema’s most exciting young talents starring together. They are supported by a star-studded cast that includes Demian Bichir, Cynthia Erivo, Nick Jonas, David Oyelowo, Kurt Sutter, and the aforementioned Mads Mikkelsen. Though Lionsgate are still sticking with the safe Coming Soon branding, Chaos Walking is currently set to finally arrive in cinemas in March.
