Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy Trailer
Bridget’s back, and about to face the toughest chapter of her dating life yet in the trailer for the fourth film in the franchise.
Renée Zellweger returns to role of the romcom icon whose story has always thrown up the challenge or two, but not quite so many all at once. In the trailer for the fourth film in the series based on Helen Fielding's books, Bridget is dealing with widowhood, single motherhood, old flames, new men, young men, dating apps, and the fact that she’s now become a fifty-something. After the loss of Mark Darcy four years ago, Briget finally caves to the immense pressure from her friends, family, and gynaecologist to get back into the dating game, but finds the rules are now very different. As well as juggling her career and trying to be a perfect mum, Bridget now finds herself caught between three potential partners: her son’s science teacher, Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Mr Wallaker, a toy boy, Leo Woodall’s Roxster, and, of course, her former lover, Hugh Grant’s Daniel Cleaver. Watching from the sidelines as the incomparable romcom heroine navigates this new chapter of her romantic life in her own, awkward way is sure to be as hilarious and heartwarming as ever, and the perfect date night viewing just in time for Valentine’s Day.
