Three of Hollywood’s leading ladies star as women of Fox News in a drama based upon the network and the shocking scandal surrounding its founder Roger Ailes. Charlize Theron is barely recognisable as Megyn Kelly and Nicole Kidman is perfectly coiffed as Gretchen Carlson, the former Fox & Friends co-host who first filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Ailes. In an excruciatingly tense life sequence, the duo are joined by Margot Robbie’s fictional Fox News producer Kayla Pospisil. What follows is a powerful sequence as they go up the floors of the News Corporation building in Manhattan. The trailer may be practically free of any dialogue, but the silences, stares, and sideways looks speak a thousand words. Directed by Jay Roach, Bombshell co-stars Kate McKinnon, Connie Britton, Mark Duplass, Rob Delaney, Malcolm McDowell, Allison Janney, and John Lithgow rounding out a star-studded cast as the disgraced Fox News founder Roger Ailes.
